Commemorative Air Force is hosting their annual Wings Over Dallas Air Show at Dallas Executive Airport. This ticketed event includes displays and exhibitions of historic WWII aircraft including aircraft tours, aircraft ride flights, an aviation education tent, historical living displays, ground and blank-fire demonstrations, pyrotechnics with the aircraft displays, a firework show, a classic car show and amplified sound. Merchandise, food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of tents (one – 40’x100’, three – 30’x30’, one – 40’x80’, three – 10’x20’), forklifts, scissor lifts, box trucks, bleachers, a portable generator. No street closures are necessary; however, large attendance will require traffic control at Hampton/67, Redbird/67; intermittent lane closures at Hampton/Challenger; and closure of Challenger north of Mariner. All airfield lights, sign and navigation aids must be protected somehow from being run over by vehicles and aircraft. The event Host/Sponsor will also be billed for repairs of the lights, signs and navigation aids. Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m.
