This annual 5K hosted by the American Cancer Society will activate at a new location and run a new route at Klyde Warren Park. The event activation within the park is coordinated by the Woodall Rogers Park Foundation. This permit covers the related street closures and parking restrictions only. This free and open to the public walk will involve amplified sound outside of the park perimeter beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a 7:15 a.m. sound check. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes before the first participant and will reopen after the last participant passes through. The start and finish lines will be staged at the eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Service Road, just north of N. Harwood Street. The walk will kickstart at 8 a.m., proceeds north on eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Service Road, right on Routh Street, right on Ross Avenue, right on Jack Evans Street, left on Flora Street, left on N Harwood Street, right on San Jacinto Street, right on N St Paul Street and right on eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Service Road to finish. Setup at Klyde Warren Park will begin Friday, October 18 at 2 p.m. with the erection of tents (one – 20’x20’ & twenty – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete, and all street closure apparatus will be removed by 3:00 p.m.
