Trinity River Run @ Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge

Trinity river run is hosting their annual Run/Walk event. This registration event includes live music, a DJ, amplified sound, a 5K, 10K, Half Marathon and outdoor activities. The half marathon starts at 4 p.m. heading east on Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge; right on Riverfront Avenue; right on Corinth Street; left on 8th Street; left on Santa Fe Trestle Trail; left on Riverfront Boulevard; right on Turtle Creek Boulevard; left on Hi Line Drive; left on Trinity Strand Trail; right on Wycliff Avenue onto Sylvian Avenue; turnabout midway; right on Irving Boulevard; right on Manufacturing Street; left on E. Levee Street; left on Payne Street; right on Riverfront Boulevard; right on Continental Avenue ending on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. The 10K starts at 5:30 p.m. heading east on Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge; left on Riverfront Avenue; right on Turtle Creek Boulevard; left on Hi Line Drive; left on Trinity Strand Trail; right on Wycliff Avenue onto Sylvian Avenue; turnabout midway; right on Irving Boulevard; right on Manufacturing Street; left on E. Levee Street; left on Payne Street; right on Riverfront Boulevard; right on Continental Avenue ending on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. The 5K will begin at 5:45 p.m. heading east on Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, left on Riverfront Avenue; left on Oak Lawn Avenue; left on E. Levee Street; left on Payne Street; right on Riverfront Boulevard; right on Continental Avenue ending on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be provided. Setup begins at 8 a.m. on November 8 with the erection of a stage (4’x8’x24”), tents (twenty – 10’x10’ and three – 10’x20’) and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 1 p.m. on November 11. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 11 p.m. Two lanes will be closed on the Westbound outer lane against traffic of Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge utilizing bicycle barricades. One lane will be open to vehicular traffic from Woodall Rodgers to Beckley Avenue. All Westbound traffic will be held by DPD for approximately 20 minutes before each race (Half Marathon 3:45 – 4:05 p.m., 10K 5:15 – 5:35 p.m., 5K 5:30 – 5:50 p.m.) and during the start. DPD will divert traffic to Beckley Avenue if Singleton Boulevard starts to back up.

Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on November 12th. This event does not require street closures.

Friendship West Baptist Church – “The Village Coop”

This recurring FWBC: The Village Coop neighborhood market is organized by Friendship West Baptist Church. The market is hosted on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 21 through November 24 in the parking lot of Friendship West Baptist Church. This market includes up to 35 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods and amplified sound. Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables (up to thirty-five – 10’X15’) and teardown will be complete by 6: 30 p.m.

Four Seasons Markets – “Northaven Local Market”

This recurring neighborhood market is organized by Four Seasons Markets, LLC. The market is hosted on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from August 11, 2019 through July 26, 2020 in the parking lot of Semones Family YMCA. This market includes up to thirty (30) vendors selling locally grown produce, foods and goods. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables and teardown will be complete by 4:30 p.m.

Deep Ellum Creative Market @ Trunk Avenue

This two-day neighborhood, local art fair is sponsored by the Deep Ellum Creative Market. There will be local acoustic musicians and DJ music. Food, beverage (nonalcoholic) and merchandise (locally made art & craft goods) will be sold. Setup will begin at 7 a.m. with the erection of a stage (16’x16’x12) and tents (sixty-five – 10’x10’) in the lot at Elm Street and Truck Avenue.

Greater Dallas Veterans Day Ceremony and Parade @ City Hall Plaza

This annual event is the Veteran’s Day Ceremony and Parade. The parade starts at 11:15 a.m. at Houston Street and Young Street and will end at City Hall Plaza with an annual 11th Hour Ceremony. Streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and will reopen as the last participant passes through. The parade will proceed north on Houston Street, right on Main Street, right on Ervay Street, right on Young Street, left on Akard Street, left on Marilla Street.  The following streets will close from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. for float lineup and bus drop-off: Houston Street from Wood Street to Young Street, Reunion Boulevard E. from Houston Street to Hotel Street, Hotel Street from Reunion Boulevard E. to Cadiz Street. Intermittent traffic control (ITC) will be used in the dispersal area at the following streets Canton Street from Ervay Street to Akard Street, Marilla Street from Akard Street to Ervay Street, Akard Street from Young Street to Marilla Street and Browder Street from Canton Street to Cadiz Street from 11 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Lamar Street, Griffin Street, Commerce Street at Houston Street will remain open along the parade route to facilitate incoming and outgoing Downtown Dallas traffic. City Hall Garage on Young Street will be open to employees. Setup at City Hall Plaza begins at 8 a.m. on Nov. 10 with the erection of stages (one – 18’x24’x24”, one -12’x24’x24’ and one – 8’x16’x12’) and tents (four – 10’x10’), and teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. Nov. 11. Street closure apparatus will be complete by 5 p.m.

Casa Linda Farmers Market

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Four Seasons Market and located in the the Casa Linda Shopping Center parking lot. The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from  3 – 7 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday. Parking for vendors and market guests will be in approved parking areas. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods. Setup begins at 1 p.m. and teardown is complete by 8 p.m. The market will not require street closures, and traffic cones and signs are not to be placed on streets or public property.

Triple T Amusements and Garibaldi Bazaar is hosting their annual 10 – day Fall Carnival. This free event includes amusement rides and outdoor activities. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Outdoor amplified sound must cease by 10 p.m. Setup begins at 8 a.m. on November 14 with the erection of amusement rides and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on December 4.
