ADL Walk Against Hate @ Victory Plaza/AA Center

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is hosting a new ADL Walk Against Hate event. This ticketed event includes entertainment, a DJ, guest speakers and a two-mile walk. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Amplified sound will start at 8 a.m. with a sound check at 7 a.m. The following streets will close from 6 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Olive Street from Victory Avenue to North Houston Street (full closure); North Houston Street from Victory Avenue West to Continental Avenue (full closure); Victory Avenue from Victory Avenue West to Continental Avenue (full closure); Continental Avenue from Victory Avenue to Lamar Street (full closure); Lamar Street from McKinney Avenue to North Houston Street (full closure). Setup begins at 6 a.m. with the erection of a stage (20’x24’x24”), and tents (ten – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur at the Lakewood Village Shopping Center.  The Lakewood Village Farmers Market will consist of up to 50+ vendors that will set up booths, tents (10’x15′) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Sundays. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place within the parking lot of the shopping center. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m., and teardown will be by 5 p.m.

This recurring FWBC: The Village Coop neighborhood market is organized by Friendship West Baptist Church. The market is hosted on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 21 through November 24 in the parking lot of Friendship West Baptist Church. This market includes up to 35 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods and amplified sound. Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables (up to thirty-five – 10’X15’) and teardown will be complete by 6: 30 p.m.

Mexican Independence Celebration and Gastronomic Event @ Farmer's Market

This annual event is open to the public and hosted by the Consulate of General of Mexico in Dallas. Food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. The event will require the following street closures: Taylor Street from Cesar Chavez Boulevard to S. Pearl Expressway, Farmers Way Road from Cesar Chavez Boulevard to S. Pearl Expressway and Pearl Street from Taylor Street to Farmers Way Road from 9 a.m. on September 14 to 10 p.m. on September 15. Setup in the Shed begins at 10 a.m. on September 13 with the erection of a stage (25’x12’x36’) and teardown/street apparatus will be complete by 11:45 p.m. on September 15.

This recurring neighborhood market is organized by Four Seasons Markets, LLC. The market is hosted on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from August 11, 2019 through July 26, 2020 in the parking lot of Semones Family YMCA. This market includes up to thirty (30) vendors selling locally grown produce, foods and goods. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables and teardown will be complete by 4:30 p.m.

Southern Throwdown 7 @ The Bomb Factory

This permit is for the closure of Clover Street from Henry Street to S. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Canton Street (westbound) from Henry Street to Malcom X Boulevard from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. for load in at the Bomb Factory and complete closure at 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. to provide motorcycle parking (entrance/exit will be available to the Adams Hats Lofts parking). Street closure apparatus will be complete by 9 p.m.

SUPERFEST is a new event hosted by B-Jems Productions & LF Productions. This ticketed event includes live music, a DJ, amplified sound, booths, food vendors and outdoor activities.  The concert will be held inside a fenced-in area with a controlled entrance and exit. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of a stage (30’x50’x48”), tents (fifteen – 10’x10’), and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 10 p.m.
