Food Trucks on the Plaza @ City Hall Plaza

City of Dallas are hosting their first annual Food Trucks on the Plaza event located at City Hall Plaza. Food trucks will be parked on Marilla between City Hall Building and Henry Moore sculpture. The sale of food & beverage (Non-alcohol) will be provided. Set up starts at 10 a.m. and teardown concludes at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dallas Security will incorporate the normal city hall exterior patrols with the event. On Wednesdays, patrols would be less due to council meetings and staffing requirements. Estimated event attendance 100. Event Starts February 19- June 14, 2019, we are issuing 30-day permits.

Dallas Mavericks Mavs Ball @ Victory Plaza/AA Center

This new event hosted by the Dallas Mavericks Foundation is a premiere fundraising event for the Mavs Foundation. The entire Dallas Mavericks team and coaches will be in attendance along with Mark Cuban to support the Mavs Foundation. The evening will comprise of a cocktail reception, plated dinner, silent auction, live auction, and end with live entertainment by Boys II Men. A 30’x90’ and 30’x30’ tent will be erected for the reception on Olin Welbourne Street. The reception will be from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m. There will be no outdoor amplified sound after 8 p.m. The event will require the closure of the west curb lane (closest to AAC) of Houston Street from Payne Street to Olin Welbourne Street from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. for valet services. Set-up will begin at 5 a.m. and teardown will be completed by 3:30 a.m. March 2.

Carnival at Valley View Center

This is a temporary carnival that will be held in the parking lot at Valley View Mall. The carnival will include rides and games. Setup for the carnival will begin at 8 a.m. Feb. 11 and teardown will be completed by 8 a.m. March 11. Food and beverages will be sold.  The event will require no street closures.

All Out Trinity @ Ronald Kirk Bridge

All Out Trinity is an annual event to provide an opportunity for Dallas citizens to recreate and experience the Trinity River Corridor, to celebrate Dallas’ iconic bridges. All Out Trinity is a family friendly, all-day fitness festival centered around the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, Margaret McDermott Bridge, Ron Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, and the Felix H. Lozada, Sr. Gateway. Fitness and recreational activities are provided for a wide variety of personal interests and fitness levels. Events include: Half marathon, 10K, 5K, Gravel ride, Yoga, Opening Ceremony, DJ, Food trucks, vendor market, and exhibits from city outreach departments. Due to possibility that the Trinity River floodway could be inaccessible on event day, an alternate looped route has been planned for the 10K and Half Marathon. The start/finish location will be on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue and west of the ramp to Riverfront Boulevard in the westbound lanes. The portions of the routes inside the Trinity River floodway may be adjusted between the Trinity River dirt service road and the Trinity Skyline Trail depending on the final measurements and construction. Primary 5K Route: Starts at 8 a.m. on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue in the westbound lanes, head east in the westbound lanes, east on the ramp to Riverfront Boulevard, south on Riverfront Boulevard in the southbound lanes, west on West Commerce Street in the eastbound lanes, north on North Beckley Avenue in the northbound lanes, west on Singleton Avenue in westbound lanes, north then immediately east onto sidewalk leading to Felix Lozada Sr. Gateway, northeast on Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, northeast on Continental Avenue in the eastbound lanes, south on Riverfront Boulevard in the southbound lanes, west on Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in the westbound lanes, finish on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue. Primary 10K Route: Starts at 8 a.m. on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue in the westbound lanes, head east in the westbound lanes, east on the ramp to Riverfront Boulevard, south on Riverfront Boulevard in the southbound lanes, west on West Commerce Street in the eastbound lanes, enter the Trinity Skyline Trail on the east side of the river, northwest on the Trinity Skyline Trail, south on the remainder of the old Sylvan Avenue Bridge under the new Sylvan Avenue Bridge across the Trinity River, southeast on the Trinity Skyline Trail, northwest then south on the Trinity Skyline Trail ramp to Felix Lozada Sr. Gateway, northeast on Continental Avenue in the eastbound lanes, south on Riverfront Boulevard in the southbound lanes, west on Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge in the westbound lanes, finish on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue. Primary Half Marathon Route: Starts at 8 a.m. on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue in the westbound lanes, head east in the westbound lanes, take exit ramp to Riverfront Boulevard, south in the southbound lanes of Riverfront Boulevard, west on West Commerce Street, south on Beckley Avenue in the northbound lanes, enter the Trinity Skyline Trail at Trinity Overlook Park, southeast on the lower Trinity River dirt service road, east then northeast on the Santa Fe Trestle Trail across the Trinity River, northwest on the lower Trinity River dirt service road, south on the dirt service road and remainder of the old Sylvan Avenue Bridge under the new Sylvan Avenue Bridge across the Trinity River, southeast on lower Trinity River dirt service road, northwest then south on the Trinity Skyline Trail ramp to Felix Lozada Sr. Gateway, northeast on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, straight onto Continental Avenue, south in the southbound lanes of Riverfront Boulevard, west on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge, finish on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge east of Beckley Avenue. Aid Station 1,2: Serves 5K, 10K, Half. Aid Station 3, 4, 5: Serves 10K, Half. Aid Station 6, 7, 8: Serves Half. Aid Station 9: Serves 5K, 10K, Half at Finish Line. Interaction Point 1: Underneath the new Sylvan Bridge. Runners stay to the left (eastern side), cyclists stay to the right (western side). Interaction Point 2: Cyclists must use the Trinity Skyline Trail at this point. Runners stay to the left (northern side), cyclists stay to the right (southern side). Interaction Point 3: Paved ramp from Trinity Skyline Trail to Lozada Plaza. Cyclists stay on right (northeast side) runners stay on left, (southwest side). Vendor Market is open between 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Yoga is on the Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge between 1 p.m. -2 p.m. Gravel Ride 12 p.m. – 3 p.m. Salsa Dancing 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. Bike to the Bridge “Cyclist Group” 3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m. Bicycle Rodeo “Kids on Bicycles” 3:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. There will be the sale of merchandise, food & beverage (alcohol provided) and amplified sound at 7:00 a.m. in one location. Set-up starts March 1, at 8:00 a.m. with the erection of a main stage (20’x16’x 38” high), a yoga stage (8’x8’x12” high), tents (60-10×10) (1-19×19), Drones will be utilized, generators for electricity and nine Aid Stations. Tear down to be completed by 8 p.m. day of the event. Route closures began at 7 a.m. at all race course intersections and Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge. Margaret Hunt Hill Bridge will reopen at 7 p.m. day of the event. Estimated attendance is 6000.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market

Deep Ellum Community Association are hosting their annual Outdoor Arts/Crafts Market located in Deep Ellum. The event includes arts/crafts vendors, some recorded or live music will be played, the sale of crafts merchandise, food and non-alcoholic beverages. Set up starts at 10 a.m. with the erection of tents (35- 10×10), a PA system, no stage, street power access and amplified sound starting at 9:30 a.m. in one location. Teardown will be completed by 6 p.m. day of the event. A full Street Closure for N. Crowdus St. from Elm St. to Main St starting at 10:00 a.m. and will re-open by 7 p.m. Parking Meters will be hooded from 100-199 N Crowdus St. from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Estimated daily attendance 200.
