Together in Teal is a new event hosted by National Ovarian Cancer Coalition. This free event includes opening ceremonies at 8 a.m., drones, animals, a one-mile fun run/walk and a 5K starting at 9:30 a.m. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. Amplified sound will start at 7 a.m. The following streets will close: Olympus Boulevard from Cypress Waters to Wharf Road from 5 a.m. to noon (full closure); Cypress Waters from At Fork to Olympus Boulevard from 8 a.m. to noon (full closure); Olympus Boulevard from Wharf Road to Rombauer Road from 8 a.m. to noon (2 lanes); Rombauer Road from Olympus Boulevard to Zale’s Parking lot from 8 a.m. to noon (2 lanes); Olympus Boulevard from Cypress Waters to Stampede Road from 8 a.m. to noon (2 lanes). Setup begins at 9 a.m. on September 20 with the erection of a stage (20’x16’x12”), and tents (sixteen – 10’x10’, two – 20’x40’ and one – 10’x20’). Teardown will be complete and Street closure apparatus will be removed by 3 p.m.
|In September, join supporters across the nation for the St. Jude Walk/Run during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month to raise money for the kids of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, where families never receive a bill for anything.|

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Good Local Markets in the Lake Pointe Church parking lot. The market includes up to 70 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup will begin at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (up to 70 – 10’ x 15’) and teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.
This annual homecoming parade starts and ends at Bryan Adams High School. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. At 9 a.m. the parade proceeds east on Millmar Drive, left on Ferguson Road, right on Gus Thomason Road, right on Shiloh Road, right on Millmar Drive back to Bryan Adams High School parking lot finish and disperse. Parade staging begins at 8 a.m. in the parking lot.
This is a new neighborhood fundraising event for the University Park Public Library hosted by the Friends of the Library. The event includes a bounce house and up to 30 vendors selling arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, garage sale items etc. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup will begin at 8 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents (up to thirty 10’ x 10’) and teardown will be complete by 5 p.m.
This annual event is a fundraiser carnival for the All Saints Catholic School. Entertainment includes assorted games, live bands and a petting zoo. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 9 a.m. on September 18 with a stage (24’x12’x24”) and tents (four – 10’x20, six – 10’x10’, one – 50’x80’, one 30’x40’ and one 40’x60’). Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on September 22.
This annual three-day food festival sponsored by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will feature live music and cultural dancing, and food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup will begin at 12:30 p.m. on September 15 with the erection of a stage (15’x20’x20”) and twelve tents (one – 60’x330’, one – 60’x100’, one – 20’x80’, one – 20’x40’, one – 20’x30’, two – 20’x60’, one – 10’x100’, two – 10’x40’, one – 10’x30’ and one – 10’x20’). Teardown to be completed by 6 p.m. on September 27. Third party security will be provided for overnight security of the event site.
No street closures are required; however, Alpha Road and Hillcrest Road may be affected by attendee traffic. DPD officers (off-duty) will provide traffic control as needed. Parking is provided for free at Temple Shalom at 6930 Alpha Rd. Shuttles will be provided for free to event attendees who park in the garage located at 12720 Hillcrest Road (shuttles will travel on the LBJ service road, turn right onto Preston Road, turn right onto Alpha Road, turn right onto Hillcrest Road and stop on Hillcrest Road in front of the church to unload passengers. ITC will be used on Hillcrest Road to safely unload passengers. Valet parking will be available on church property for a small fee.
This annual two-day carnival is a fundraiser for the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. The carnival will include a DJ, live entertainment, family games and an auction. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 3:15 p.m. on September 20 with the erection of a stage (12’x18’x25”) and tents (nine – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on September 22.
