Pushpay Summit @ Gateway Church Dallas
May 22 @ 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Pushpay is hosting a new two-day summit event located on Gateway Church Campus. This ticketed event includes live music and guest speakers. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. Amplified sound will start at 8 a.m. Traffic egress from Gateway parking lot includes Hillcrest northbound left-hand lane blocked. Setup begins at 7 a.m. with the erection of tents (one- 82×147), (one-40×40), and scissor lifts. Teardown will be complete by 4 p.m. on May 24.

Food Trucks on the Plaza @ City Hall Plaza

City of Dallas are hosting their first annual Food Trucks on the Plaza event located at City Hall Plaza. Food trucks will be parked on Marilla between City Hall Building and Henry Moore sculpture. The sale of food & beverage (Non-alcohol) will be provided. Set up starts at 10 a.m. and teardown concludes at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dallas Security will incorporate the normal city hall exterior patrols with the event. On Wednesdays, patrols would be less due to council meetings and staffing requirements. Estimated event attendance 100. Event Starts February 19- June 14, 2019, we are issuing 30-day permits.

Casa Linda Farmers Market @ Casa Linda Shopping Center
May 22 @ 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

This is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by the Four Seasons Market LLC to occur on the property of Casa Linda (Edens) LLC at 9540 Garland Road, parking lot.

The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from noon  4 p.m., setup begins at 10 a.m. and tear down at 5 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday of each month through December 18, 2019. Parking for vendors and market guests are to be in approved parking areas.

The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods. Should the applicant provide electrical power to its vendors, all electrical cords, cables to include hoses are to be covered by cable protectors.

The market will not require street or lane closures; no traffic cones or signs are to be placed on streets or public property.

St. Michaels Farmers Market
May 25 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church at 8011 Douglas Ave. to occur on the property of the church parking lot at 5999 Fredrick Square.

The Saint Michaels Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on the Saturdays through December 14, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Set up of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and tear down at 12 p.m.

 

Unleashed Paws Fur Fun Run @ White Rock Alehouse & Brewery
May 25 @ 8:00 am – 11:00 am

This annual Fur Fun Run is a 5K run/walk, a one-mile pet stroll and a paw-ty for fellow dog lovers. Merchandise, food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Outdoor amplified sound will be present and will include a five-minute sound check at 7:45 a.m. Both the 5K race and the one-mile pet stroll will be an out and back route completely contained on the Santa Fe Trail with the pre and post event celebrations being activated in the parking lot of the White Rock Alehouse. No street closures are required. Setup begins Friday, May 24 at 10 a.m. with the erection of tents (one – 10X30 and ten – 10X10) and an inflatable arch at the Start/Finish line. Private security will be onsite to assist with public safety along with

White Rock Farmers Market @ White Rock Farmers Market

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur on the property of Lake Pointe Church (parking lot) at 9150 Garland Rd.

The White Rock Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Saturdays starting on March 9 – December 7, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot.

THAI Culture and Food Festival @ The Buddhist Temple of Dallas
May 25 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

THAI Community of North Texas is hosting their annual two-day THAI Culture and Food Festival. This free event includes live music, amplified sound, classical dances and vendors. Merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 10 a.m. on May 24 with the erection of a stage (60’x60’x72”) and tents (fifteen – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on May 27.

Exhibit Happiness @ West End

Exhibit Happiness is a new event hosted by Shraman South Asian Museum and Learning Center Foundation. This free event includes live music, amplified sound, various outdoor activities, food trucks and a DJ. Merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. The following meters will be hooded from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.: North Griffin Street, Munger Avenue and Laws Street. Setup begins at 9:30 a.m. with the erection of tents (ten – 10’x10’) and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 4:30 p.m.

Community Empowerment: No One Goes Hungry

This and That Love Ministry is hosting a new event to celebrate Community Empowerment: No One Goes Hungry. This free event includes live music, amplified sound, two bounce houses, and guest speakers. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. Setup begins at 9:30 a.m. with the erection of tents (seven – 10’x10’), barbecue grill, and a generator. Teardown to be complete by 5:30 p.m.

Carry The Load 2019

This annual event is held at Reverchon Park and includes a walk honoring Memorial Day; funds are raised to support military and first responder charities. Food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. There will be no amplified sound before 8 a.m. or after 10 p.m. There are three events on Sunday, May 26 : the NATIONAL RELAY departs at 2:45 p.m. from Chase Bank at 4236 Wycliff Avenue (police escort needed), proceeds south on Oak Lawn Avenue, left on Maple Avenue, and enters Reverchon Park at Turtle Creek  Boulevard; The DALLAS MEMORIAL MARCH departs at 4:30 p.m. from Reverchon Park, continues onto Turtle Creek Boulevard (eastbound), left on Turtle Creek Boulevard (against traffic), u-turns at Lemmon Avenue, continues southbound on Turtle Creek Boulevard (against traffic), continues onto Cedar Springs Road, right on Carlisle Street, right on Maple Avenue, left on Turtle Creek Boulevard into Reverchon Park; The KATY TRAIL MARCH starts at 5p.m. and select walkers (less than 10%) continue making loops through the night until 1:30 p.m. on May 27. The entire route is on the Katy Trail between Reverchon Park and Airline Road/McKinney Avenue. On Monday, May 27, closing ceremonies are tentatively scheduled between noon and 1 p.m. Setup at Reverchon Park begins at 6 a.m. on May 22 with the erection of tents (fifteen – 10’x10’, six – 10’x20’, one – 20’x20’, two – 20’x30’, two  – 20’x40’, two – 40’x45’, one – 40’x50’ and one – 40’x120’) and a standard forklift. Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on May 28.

Lakewood Village Farmers Market @ Lakewood Village Shopping Center
May 26 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur within the parking lot of the Lakewood Village Shopping Center at 6463 E. Mockingbird Ln.

The Lakewood Village Farmers Market will consist of up to 50+ vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Sundays through October 27, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place within the parking lot of the shopping center. Set up of the market will begin at 7 a.m., tear down at 2 p.m. and property vacated by 5 p.m.

Family Festival 2019
May 26 @ 10:00 am – 10:00 pm

This annual family festival is sponsored by Redemptoris Mater Seminary. The event will be on church property and includes mechanical rides, bounce houses and food, beverage (nonalcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of a stage (3’x10’x18”) and tents (seven – 10’x10’ and one – 40’x80’), and teardown will be complete by 11 p.m.

This new community event hosted by Stay Hungry Entertainment will include outdoor amplified sound for live entertainment and, haircuts, merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. No tents, stages or street closures are required. Setup begins at 11 a.m. Teardown will be complete by 7 p.m.
