Church Festival @ Christ Eposcopal Church

The Christ Episcopal Church is hosting a new church festival. This event is free and open to the public and includes live music, amplified sound and food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup for this event will start at 3 p.m. with the inclusion of port-o-lets. Teardown will be complete by 11 p.m. This event will not require street closures.

Global Energy 5K/10K  @ Klyde Warren Park

This permit covers the related street closures. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. The 10K at 7:30 a.m. will begin on Woodall Rodgers eastbound service road, left on N. Pearl Street, left on Woodall Rodgers westbound service road, right on Akard Street, left on Cedar Springs Road, right on Field Street, left on Caroline Street, left on Payne Street, right on N. Houston Street, left on Victory Avenue W, right on Hi Line Drive, right on Oak Lawn Avenue, left on to the Trinity Strand Trail and continue off surface roads on the Trail, u-turn back east still on the Trail prior to Wycliff Avenue and return to Oak Lawn Avenue, right on Oak Lawn Avenue, left on Hi-Line Drive, right on Victory Avenue, right on Houston Street, left on Payne Street, right on Caroline Street, right on Field Street, left on Cedar Springs Road, right on Akard Street, left on Woodall Rodgers westbound service road, right on Pearl Street, right on Woodall Rodgers eastbound service road to the finish line. The SK at 7:45 am will begin on Woodall Rodgers eastbound service road, left on N. Pearl Street, left on Woodall Rodgers westbound service road, right on Akard Street, left on Cedar Springs Road, right on Field Street, left on Caroline Street, left on Payne Street, right on N. Houston Street, left on Victory Avenue W, right on Hi Line Drive, U-turn on Slocum Street, left on Hi-Line Drive, right on Victory Avenue, right on Houston Street, left on Payne Street, right on Caroline Street, right on Field Street, left on Cedar Springs Road, right on Akard Street, left on Woodall Rodgers westbound service road, right on Pearl Street, right on Woodall Rodgers eastbound service road to the finish line. Setup at Klyde Warren Park will begin at 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 21 with the erection of tents (fifteen – lO’xl0) and teardown will be complete by 12:30 p.m. Street apparatus will be removed by 11 a.m.

St. Bernard Parish Carnival
Sep 22 @ 8:00 am – 3:00 pm

This annual two-day carnival is a fundraiser for the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. The carnival will include a DJ, live entertainment, family games and an auction. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 3:15 p.m. on September 20 with the erection of a stage (12’x18’x25”) and tents (nine – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on September 22. 

Lakewood Village Farmers Market
Sep 22 @ 9:00 am – 2:00 pm

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur at the Lakewood Village Shopping Center.  The Lakewood Village Farmers Market will consist of up to 50+ vendors that will set up booths, tents (10’x15′) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Sundays. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place within the parking lot of the shopping center. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m., and teardown will be by 5 p.m.

All Saints Catholic Church Fall Festival
Sep 22 @ 10:00 am – 5:30 pm

This annual event is a fundraiser carnival for the All Saints Catholic School. Entertainment includes assorted games, live bands and a petting zoo. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 9 a.m. on September 18 with a stage (24’x12’x24”) and tents (four – 10’x20, six – 10’x10’, one – 50’x80’, one 30’x40’ and one 40’x60’). Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on September 22.

Friendship West Baptist Church – “The Village Coop”
Sep 22 @ 10:00 am – 6:00 pm

This recurring FWBC: The Village Coop neighborhood market is organized by Friendship West Baptist Church. The market is hosted on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 21 through November 24 in the parking lot of Friendship West Baptist Church. This market includes up to 35 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods and amplified sound. Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables (up to thirty-five – 10’X15’) and teardown will be complete by 6: 30 p.m.

Four Seasons Markets – “Northaven Local Market”
Sep 22 @ 11:00 am – 3:00 pm

This recurring neighborhood market is organized by Four Seasons Markets, LLC. The market is hosted on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from August 11, 2019 through July 26, 2020 in the parking lot of Semones Family YMCA. This market includes up to thirty (30) vendors selling locally grown produce, foods and goods. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables and teardown will be complete by 4:30 p.m.

Greek Food Festival of Dallas
Sep 22 @ 11:00 am – 5:00 pm

The Greek Festival of Dallas

This annual three-day food festival sponsored by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will feature live music and cultural dancing, and food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup will begin at 12:30 p.m. on September 15 with the erection of a stage (15’x20’x20”) and twelve tents (one – 60’x330’, one – 60’x100’, one – 20’x80’, one – 20’x40’, one – 20’x30’, two – 20’x60’, one – 10’x100’, two – 10’x40’, one – 10’x30’ and one – 10’x20’). Teardown to be completed by 6 p.m. on September 27. Third party security will be provided for overnight security of the event site.

No street closures are required; however, Alpha Road and Hillcrest Road may be affected by attendee traffic. DPD officers (off-duty) will provide traffic control as needed. Parking is provided for free at Temple Shalom at 6930 Alpha Rd. Shuttles will be provided for free to event attendees who park in the garage located at 12720 Hillcrest Road (shuttles will travel on the LBJ service road, turn right onto Preston Road, turn right onto Alpha Road, turn right onto Hillcrest Road and stop on Hillcrest Road in front of the church to unload passengers. ITC will be used on Hillcrest Road to safely unload passengers. Valet parking will be available on church property for a small fee.

 

St. Augustine Catholic Parish Fall Festival

This annual event is sponsored by St. Augustine Catholic Church and is held in the church parking lot. There will be games, a DJ, and live entertainment. Food, beverage (nonalcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup begins at 5 p.m. on Sept. 20 with the erection of a stage (20’x24’x32”) and tents (two – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by midnight.

Tent Gospel Meeting
Sep 22 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This annual gospel meeting hosted by South Central Church of Christ will be held in a vacant lot across from the church. This event will feature outdoor amplified sound. No food, beverage or street closures are required. Setup begins Saturday, September 14 with the erection of a tent (one – 40’ x 80’). Teardown will be complete by Saturday, September 28 at 1 p.m.
