Good Local Market -White Rock Farmers Market @ Lake Pointe Church

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Good Local Markets in the Lake Pointe Church parking lot. The market includes up to 70 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup will begin at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (up to 70 – 10’ x 15’) and teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

St. Michaels Farmers Market
Aug 3 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This Neighborhood Farmers Market is organized by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.

 

Watermelon Festival @ Farmer's Market

Launching National Farmers Market Week, the event will integrate with the weekend farmers market and
include a petting zoo, face painting, watermelon activities, and live music.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market #10 @ Deep Ellum
Aug 3 @ 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

Deep Ellum Community Association is hosting their monthly outdoor arts and crafts market. This free event includes live music, amplified sound and vendors. Merchandise, food, and beverage (nonalcoholic) and will be sold. The following street will close from 2 – 9 p.m.: N. Crowdus Street from Elm Street to Main Street. Parking Meters will be hooded at 100-199 N. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Setup begins at 2 p.m. with the erection of tents (thirty-five – 10’x10’), a generator and a PA system. Teardown will be complete by 9 p.m. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 9 p.m.

Lakewood Village Farmers Market

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur at the Lakewood Village Shopping Center.  The Lakewood Village Farmers Market will consist of up to 50+ vendors that will set up booths, tents (10’x15′) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Sundays. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place within the parking lot of the shopping center. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m., and teardown will be by 5 p.m.

Friendship West Baptist Church – “The Village Coop”

This recurring FWBC: The Village Coop neighborhood market is organized by Friendship West Baptist Church. The market is hosted on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from July 21 through November 24 in the parking lot of Friendship West Baptist Church. This market includes up to 35 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods and amplified sound. Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables (up to thirty-five – 10’X15’) and teardown will be complete by 6: 30 p.m.

Casa Linda Farmers Market

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Four Seasons Market and located in the the Casa Linda Shopping Center parking lot. The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from  3 – 7 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday. Parking for vendors and market guests will be in approved parking areas. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods. Setup begins at 1 p.m. and teardown is complete by 8 p.m. The market will not require street closures, and traffic cones and signs are not to be placed on streets or public property.

The Sound – Boho Market Series

This is a new weekly Artisan Market series organized by Boho Market Group and hosted by Billingsley Company. The recurring Friday market at The Sound Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. There is no food/beverage sales or distribution. Setup starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of vendor pop-up tents (up to 30 – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 10:15 p.m. A private security contractor will provide onsite security guards. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 25, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.

Hot Trot Half Marathon 10 & 5K @ White Rock Lake

This annual half marathon, 10K and 5K is hosted by AMPT Running Company and will start and finish at Norbuck Park. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. Amplified sound is approved to start at 7 a.m., with a  5-minute sound check after 6:30 a.m. and volume must be maintained at or below 75% of the volume planned for 8 a.m. The  10K starts at 7 a.m.: exits Norbuck Park parking lot onto Buckner Road underpass, right on E. Lawther Drive, left on the trail,  under Northwest Highway, left on Flagpole Hill Trail, left on White Rock Creek Trail, veer right on White Rock Lake Trail,  u-turns at trail marker WRT137, reverses the route back to the White Rock Lake Trail/White Rock Creek Trail junction, continues onto the White Rock Lake Trail, over the pedestrian bridge and past the dog park, exit White Rock Lake Trail with a left on E. Lawther Drive, right on the Buckner Boulevard underpass to the finish line and disperse. The half marathon starts at 7 a.m.:  exits Norbuck Park parking lot onto Buckner Road underpass, right on E. Lawther Drive, left on the trail, under Northwest Highway, left on Flagpole Hill Trail, left on White Rock Creek Trail, veer right on White Rock Lake Trail,  u-turns at the Winfrey Point parking lot, reverses the route back to the White Rock Lake Trail/White Rock Creek Trail junction, continues onto the White Rock Lake Trail, over the pedestrian bridge and past the dog park, exit White Rock Lake Trail with a left on E. Lawther Drive, right on the Buckner Boulevard underpass to the finish line and disperse. The 5K starts at 7:10 a.m.: exits Norbuck Park parking lot onto Buckner Road underpass, left on E. Lawther Drive, u-turns at the designated point between Big Thicket and the Bath House, reverse the route to the start/finish and disperse. Setup begins at 4 p.m. on August 9 with the erection of a stage (12’x8’x2”) and tents (fifteen – 10’x10), and teardown will be complete by 1:30 p.m.
