Kellogg’s Gaming and Snacking @ Walmart

This new event is a gaming academy sponsored by Kellogg’s and is open to the public. The event will take place in the Walmart parking lot. Food and beverage (non-alcoholic) will be provided. Setup begins at 10 a.m. with the erection of tents (one -10’x10’ and one 15’x15’) and a 30’x30’x20’ inflatable gaming tent. Teardown will be complete by 8 p.m. on September 1.

Casa Linda Farmers Market
Aug 28 @ 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Four Seasons Market and located in the the Casa Linda Shopping Center parking lot. The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from  3 – 7 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday. Parking for vendors and market guests will be in approved parking areas. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods. Setup begins at 1 p.m. and teardown is complete by 8 p.m. The market will not require street closures, and traffic cones and signs are not to be placed on streets or public property.

Circo Espana is hosting their annual ten-day circus event. This ticketed event includes comedians, clown jugglers, aerial acts and amplified sound. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 8 a.m. on August 20 with the erection of a tent (one – 101’x101’), a portable generator and a forklift. Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on September 2.

Circo Espana at Kessler Plaza @ Kessler Plaza

The Sound – Tribute Thursdays Concert Series

This reoccurring event includes a weekly concert series through October at The Sound outdoor amphitheater and stage. These Thursday night concerts are hosted by Billingsley Company and involve a live performance by a local tribute band taking stage at 9 p.m. Outdoor amplified sound must be turned off by 11 p.m. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold by local restaurants. Registration/ticket is required and ticket holders may bring a picnic. Setup begins at 7 p.m. each Thursday with the installation of a portable stage (40”x16’x20’) and tents (two – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by midnight. A private contractor will provide onsite security guards in addition to the required two (2) off-duty DPD officers. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 31, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.

The Sound – Boho Market Series

This is a new weekly Artisan Market series organized by Boho Market Group and hosted by Billingsley Company. The recurring Friday market at The Sound Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. There is no food/beverage sales or distribution. Setup starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of vendor pop-up tents (up to 30 – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 10:15 p.m. A private security contractor will provide onsite security guards. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 25, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.
TBAAL Riverfront Jazz Festival @ CBD

The annual Riverfront Jazz Festival is hosted at The Black Academy of Arts and Letters (TBAAL) and the Kay Bay Hutchison Convention Center Dallas (KBHCCD).  This three-day event is indoors and includes live musical performances by local and national music artist, and merchandise, food and beverage (alcoholic) sales.  Friday: the doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the last performance ends at 10:30 p.m.  Saturday and Sunday: the doors open at noon and the last performance ends at 10 p.m. This permit covers the street closure required to accommodate the food trucks.  The Food Trucks arrive on site by 2 p.m. Friday and remain in place until 10 p.m. Sunday.  Food trucks will be staged in the Akard Street cutout and along Canton Street.   A full closure of Canton Street from Akard Street to Griffin Street will be in effect from 2 p.m. Friday through midnight Sunday to accommodate the food trucks; no parking of vehicles is permitted within the street closure. The freeway on-ramp will be accessible at the corner of Akard Street and Canton Street. The teardown will be complete, and the streets will reopen by midnight Sunday, September 1.

This annual Yoga Festival is free, open to the public and will be contained within Main Street Garden Park. This event includes live performances, outdoor amplified sound in multiple locations throughout the park, merchandise, food and beverage (non-alcoholic) sales. Setup begins at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (62 – 10’ x 10’) and a stage (36’ x 51’ x 18”). Teardown will be complete by 4 p.m.

Good Local Market -White Rock Farmers Market @ Lake Pointe Church
Aug 31 @ 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Good Local Markets in the Lake Pointe Church parking lot. The market includes up to 70 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup will begin at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (up to 70 – 10’ x 15’) and teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.
