Garibaldi Bazaar Summer Carnival
Aug 15 @ 5:00 pm – 11:30 pm

Triple T Amusements and Garibaldi Bazaar is hosting their annual 10-day Summer Carnival. This free event includes carnival rides and outdoor activities. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 7 a.m. on August 13 with the erection of amusement rides and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on August 28.

The Sound – Tribute Thursdays Concert Series
Aug 15 @ 9:00 pm – 11:00 pm

This reoccurring event includes a weekly concert series through October at The Sound outdoor amphitheater and stage. These Thursday night concerts are hosted by Billingsley Company and involve a live performance by a local tribute band taking stage at 9 p.m. Outdoor amplified sound must be turned off by 11 p.m. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold by local restaurants. Registration/ticket is required and ticket holders may bring a picnic. Setup begins at 7 p.m. each Thursday with the installation of a portable stage (40”x16’x20’) and tents (two – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by midnight. A private contractor will provide onsite security guards in addition to the required two (2) off-duty DPD officers. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 31, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes.  Extensions are not guaranteed.

The Sound – Boho Market Series
Aug 16 @ 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This is a new weekly Artisan Market series organized by Boho Market Group and hosted by Billingsley Company. The recurring Friday market at The Sound Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. There is no food/beverage sales or distribution. Setup starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of vendor pop-up tents (up to 30 – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 10:15 p.m. A private security contractor will provide onsite security guards. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 25, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.

Adamson Leopard 5K @ Ronald Kirk Bridge
Aug 17 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 am

The annual Adamson Leopard 5K run starts at 8 a.m. The race starts and finishes on the Felix H. Lozado Sr. Gateway, travels east across the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, u-turns at the bollards, returns back across the bridge, right onto the trail, down the ramp onto the Trinity Skyline Trail, u-turns at the designated point, and reverses back to the finish line.
This event includes no pre or post run festivities or entertainment, street closures, amplified sound, stage, tents, merchandise, or food. Water will be served to the runners in paper cups at the finish line. Setup begins at 7 a.m. with the installation of tables and a timing clock with a generator, and teardown will be complete by 11 a.m.

Good Local Market -White Rock Farmers Market @ Lake Pointe Church
Aug 17 @ 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Good Local Markets in the Lake Pointe Church parking lot. The market includes up to 70 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup will begin at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (up to 70 – 10’ x 15’) and teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

St. Michaels Farmers Market
Aug 17 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This Neighborhood Farmers Market is organized by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.

 

King Of The Slab Car Show and Concert
Aug 17 @ 8:30 am – 8:00 pm

Monsta Entertainment LLC is hosting a new King of the Slab Car Show and Concert event. This free event includes live music, a DJ, amplified sound, a car show with 50 – 100 cars, a kid’s zone, two bounce houses, a VIP Lounge and a drone. The car show starts at noon ending at 5 p.m. Registration is required for participants to display their vehicles in the car show. The concert starts at noon ending at 8 p.m. Bike racks will be utilized as a barrier between the car show and the concert. Merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 11:30 a.m. on August 16 with the erection of a stage (20’x20’x36”), tents (two – 10’x40’), bounces houses and a portable generator. Private Security will be utilized in conjunction to DPD officers. Teardown will be complete by 5:30 p.m. on August 19. Image result for king of the slab car show

Clear the Shelter
Aug 17 @ 9:30 am – 7:00 pm

This annual event is sponsored by Dallas Animal Services. The event will require the closure of the east and west curb lanes of La Reunion Parkway from Westmoreland Road to the railroad right-of-way from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on August 17. Setup begins at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (three – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 7 p.m. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 7 p.m.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market #11 @ Deep Ellum
Aug 17 @ 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Deep Ellum Community Association is hosting their monthly outdoor arts and crafts market. This free event includes live music, amplified sound and vendors. Merchandise, food, and beverage (nonalcoholic) and will be sold. The following street will close from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.: N. Crowdus Street from Elm Street to Main Street. Parking Meters will be hooded at 100-199 N. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Setup begins at 11 a.m. with the erection of tents (thirty-five – 10’x10’), a generator and a PA system. Teardown will be complete and street closure apparatus will be removed by 7 p.m.
