Food Trucks on the Plaza @ City Hall Plaza

The City of Dallas’ Food Trucks on the Plaza continues. Food trucks will be parked on Marilla Street between the City Hall building and the Henry Moore sculpture. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold at the event. Setup starts at 8 a.m. and teardown will be complete by 3 p.m. Tuesday through select Fridays.

Katy 5K @ Reverchon Park
Jun 13 @ 7:30 pm – 11:30 pm

This annual 5k is sponsored by Friends of the Katy Trail. The 5K will start and end at Reverchon Park. Food and beverages (alcoholic) will be provided. Outdoor amplified sound will cease at 10 p.m. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. The 5K starts at 7:30 p.m. and proceeds northeast on Turtle Creek Boulevard (full closure), right on Blackburn Street (in a metal barricaded off left lane against traffic), left on Cole Avenue (in a coned off left lane), left on Cambrick Street (in south curb side lane), left on the Katy Trail past Maple Avenue to the finish line inside the park. A kids run will start at 7 p.m. and proceed northeast on Turtle Creek Boulevard to Gillespie Street, turnaround back to Reverchon Park. Setup in the park begins at 7 a.m. on June 12 with the erection of tents (eighty five – 10’x10’) and a stage (24’x24’x36”). Teardown will be complete by 11:45 a.m. June 14. Banners will be placed at the following locations: Maple Avenue, Fitzhugh Avenue, Blackburn Street and the Cedar Springs Bridge.

The Boho Market at The Sound
Jun 14 @ 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This is a new weekly artisan market series organized by Boho Market Group and hosted by Billingsley Company. The recurring Friday market at The Sound, Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local, handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. There is no food/beverage sales or distribution. Setup starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of vendor pop-up tents (up to 30 – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 10:15 p.m. A private security contractor will provide onsite security guards. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 25, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.

Apex Design District Block Party
Jun 14 @ 5:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This new public block party, hosted by Apex Design District Apartments, will feature a DJ, and food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold from food trucks and vendor tables. No tents or stages are required. The following street will close from 4 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Turtle Creek Boulevard from E Levee Street to the northern-most entrance to the apartment complex. Setup begins at 4 p.m. Teardown will be complete by 10 p.m.

Circo Espana
Jun 14 @ 8:00 pm – 9:45 pm

Circo Espana is hosting their annual ten-day Circus. This free event includes comedians, clown jugglers, aerial acts and amplified sound. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 8 a.m. on June 12 with the erection of a tent (one – 100’x100’), a portable generator and a forklift. Teardown will be complete by 7 p.m. on June 24.

Good Local Market -White Rock Farmers Market @ Lake Pointe Church
Jun 15 @ 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Good Local Markets in the Lake Pointe Church parking lot. The market includes up to 70 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup will begin at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (up to 70 – 10’ x 15’) and teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

St. Michaels Farmers Market
Jun 15 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This Neighborhood Farmers Market is organized by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.

 

Asian Festival
Jun 15 @ 10:00 am – 5:00 pm

This free festival commemorates Asian Heritage Month and will include cultural performances and outdoor amplified sound. Merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. No street closures are required. Setup begins at 7 a.m. with the erection of a stage (16’x20’x3”) and tents (twenty four – 10’x10’ and six – 10’x20’). Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market #7 @ Deep Ellum
Jun 15 @ 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Deep Ellum Community Association is hosting their monthly outdoor arts and crafts market. This free event includes live music, amplified sound and vendors. Merchandise, food, and beverage (nonalcoholic) and will be sold. The following street will close from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.: N. Crowdus Street from Elm Street to Main Street. Parking Meters will be hooded at 100-199 N. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Setup begins at 11 a.m. with the erection of tents (thirty-five –  10’x10’), a generator and a PA system. Teardown will be complete by 7 p.m. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 7 p.m.

Soccer Ball Giveaway
Jun 15 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

This annual personalized soccer ball giveaway, sponsored by El Rancho Supermercado, is completely contained within the parking lot of the supermarket. This free event will include outdoor amplified sound from a DJ, and food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. Setup will begin at 2 p.m. with the erection of tents (eight – 10’x10’). No food, beverage, stages or street closures are required. Teardown will be complete by 7 p.m.
