Setup will begin June 5 at 5 p.m. with the erection of a stage (24”x20’x8’) and tent (40’x40’). No food, beverage or street closures are required. Teardown will be complete by Thursday, June 10 at 5 p.m.
The Mexican National Team U.S. Tour Fan Festival is a celebration for fans leading up to the feature soccer match to be held at AT&T Stadium. There will be a DJ and live music; food, beverage (alcoholic), and merchandise will be sold. A 5-minute sound check at 60% of the volume planned is approved at noon. The event will require the following street closures: Young Street (full closure) from Field Street to Ervay Street from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Akard Street (full closure) from Young Street to Marilla Street from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Akard Street from Wood Street to Young Street and Canton Street to Young Street from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Marilla Street from Akard Street to Young Street from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Marilla Street from Ervay Street to Evergreen Street from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Ervay Street from Canton Street to Young Street from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Browder Street (full closure) from Young Street to Canton Street from 8 a.m. on June 6 to 11 p.m. on June 7 and City Hall Horseshoe from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. City Hall Garage entrance/exit on Young Street will be accessible. Setup on the plaza begins at 7 a.m. on June 4 with the erection of a mobile stage (24’x24’x36’) and tents (fifteen – 10’x20’ and five 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by noon on June 8. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 12:30 a.m. June 8.
This is a new weekly artisan market series organized by Boho Market Group and hosted by Billingsley Company. The recurring Friday market at The Sound, Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local, handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. There is no food/beverage sales or distribution. Setup starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of vendor pop-up tents (up to 30 – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 10:15 p.m. A private security contractor will provide onsite security guards. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 25, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.
|In My Shoes is hosting a new Crawl Run Thrive 5k located in the Design District. This free event includes live music, a DJ and a 5K that starts at 10 a.m. Merchandise, food, and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Amplified sound will start at 8 a.m. The following street will close from 6:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Route will proceed northeast on Payne Street toward North Riverfront Boulevard (full closure); right on North Riverfront Boulevard (partial closure); right on Parkhouse Street (partial closure); left on Core Street (partial closure); right on Continental Avenue continuing on to Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge; west on Singleton Boulevard (partial closure); right on Gulden Lane (partial closure); left on Canada Drive (partial closure); left on Herbert Street (partial closure); left on Pueblo Street (partial closure); right on Gulden Lane back to the finish line. Setup begins at 6:30 a.m. with the staging of runners at the corner of Payne Street and the Texas Ale Project. Teardown to be complete by 1 p.m. |
