City of Dallas are hosting their first annual Food Trucks on the Plaza event located at City Hall Plaza. Food trucks will be parked on Marilla between City Hall Building and Henry Moore sculpture. The sale of food & beverage (Non-alcohol) will be provided. Set up starts at 10 a.m. and teardown concludes at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dallas Security will incorporate the normal city hall exterior patrols with the event. On Wednesdays, patrols would be less due to council meetings and staffing requirements. Estimated event attendance 100. Event Starts February 19- June 14, 2019, we are issuing 30-day permits.
The purpose of this permit is to allow for the temporary installation of eight port-o-let(s) on the property listed above. The port-o-let will be delivered March 15 and must be removed by 4 p.m. on Monday March 18, 2019. The business/individuals listed above has, at their own expense and coordination opted to provide temporary public port-o-let services available to the general public to address the bathroom needs of the crowds that gather on Greenville Avenue in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. There will be no other temporary activities related to an event activation, outdoor amplified sound, equipment, supplies, merchandise, food nor beverage (alcoholic) sales outside of the existing business operations. All alcohol sales and consumption must be contained indoors.
This permit is for the placement of port-o-lets located in the parking lot of Parkit Market along E. University Blvd. Parkit Market are just a business along the parade route and are not involved in planning nor hosting the event. Parkit Market will be open for business and the parking lot will be monitored by police officers. There will be no street closures. No food or beverage will be sold. Set up starts at 6 a.m. for port-o-lets and teardown to be completed by 8 p.m. day of the event. The projected attendance is 200.
Shuck N Jive is hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. The event will be held inside a fenced-in area of the parking lot attached to the venue’s patio with live music. Food and beverages (alcoholic) will be sold at the event. Setup will begin at 5 a.m. with the erection of tents (2- 15×20) and amplified sound starting at 10 a.m. Teardown will be completed by 12 a.m. March 17. The event will require no street closures. All outdoor music must cease at 10 p.m. Estimated attendance 200.
This annual event is Velvet Taco’s St. Patrick’s Day Celebration. Two 10’x10 tents will be set-up in their parking lot to serve food and alcoholic beverages. There are no stages or street closures required. Set up will begin 6:45 p.m., Friday, March 15 and tear down will be completed by 9:45 a.m., Sunday, March 17.

This new event is a fundraiser sponsored by the Dallas Police Department and Krispy Kreme Doughnuts. A dunking booth will be placed in the parking lot. Set up will begin at 9 p.m. March 15 and tear down will be completed by 2:45 p.m.
This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur on the property of Lake Pointe Church (parking lot) at 9150 Garland Rd.
The White Rock Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Saturdays starting on March 9 – December 7, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot.
This annual party takes place in the parking lot of the establishment in a fenced off area to accommodate extra seating and room on the day of the parade. Food and beverages (alcoholic) will be sold. Set-up begins at noon March 15 and teardown is completed by 5 p.m. March 17.
This event is the annual St. Patrick’s Day Block Party. The event will be on 2800-2900 Greenville Avenue; bounded by Ridgedale to the north and Vickery to the south. Entry into this ticketed event site will be controlled by private security positioned at six (6) gated entrances. Food, alcoholic beverages and merchandise will be sold within the controlled event area, however no alcohol can be brought in or taken out of the controlled event site. Stan’s Blue Note, Terilli’s, The Dubliner, Blue Goose, The Grape, Fifty/Fifty, Dodie’s, Halcyon, Val’s Cheesecakes and Papa Johns are included in this permit. The event will involve barricading Goodwin from Worcola to Matilda, 5600 Vanderbilt from Worcola to Greenville and Greenville Avenue from Vanderbilt to Vickery beginning at 8:00 a.m. and will reopen at 8:00 p.m. North and southbound traffic on Greenville Avenue will be detoured east to Matilda. The following streets will be designated one-way westbound streets between Greenville and McMillan from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.: Monticello, Ridgedale, Vanderbilt, Goodwin, Vickery and Miller. The following streets will be designated one-way eastbound streets between Greenville and Matilda from 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m: Marquita, Vanderbilt, Goodwin, Vickery, Llano, and Velasco. Two beer trucks servicing the event will park on the south curb lane of 5600 Vanderbilt and one beer truck will park on the north curb lane of 5600 Goodwin. Twenty 10’ X 10’ tents and three 10’ X 20’ X 12” stages will be erected for the event. Two portable merchandise carts will be placed within the footprint of the event at each entrance between the chain link fence and the barricades. Set-up will begin at 5 a.m. and tear down will begin immediately following the event with all streets reopened by 8 p.m.
This annual event is a private party for clients and friends of CLAY STAPP+CO. It will take place in the parking lot and it’s by invitation only. No walk-ups are allowed. There will be a food truck and alcoholic beverages. A DJ will also be onsite. Set-up will begin at 9 a.m. and teardown will be completed by 10 p.m.
This event is an annual St. Patrick’s Day party hosted by Aw Shucks at 3601 Greenville Avenue. The event will involve adding additional seating to accommodate customers that come down Greenville Avenue after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. This event is an annual St. Patrick’s Day party hosted by Milo Butterfingers. The event will involve a fenced in perimeter containing three (3) 10’ X 10’ tents, for alcoholic beverage sales, and an 18” X 12’ X 16’ stage for live entertainment. Three (3) additional port-o-lets will be positioned outside of their fenced in area, in the alleyway that butts up to Greenville Avenue. This permit authorizes representatives from Susan G. Komen to be positioned near these port-o-lets, to promote their organization, and to collect donations benefiting Komen Dallas County. Requiring a donation in exchange for the use of the port-o-lets is strictly prohibited. Set-up will begin 10:15 p.m. Friday, March 15, 2019 and tear down will occur immediately following the event and is expected to be completed no later than 7:30 p.m.
This annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 11a.m. in the 6700 block of Greenville Avenue at Blackwell Street. The parade will proceed south on Greenville Avenue to SMU Boulevard, right on SMU and disperse. The event will require closing southbound Greenville between Park Lane and Mockingbird Lane from 9a.m.- 4p.m. northbound Greenville will close at 10a.m. and reopened immediately after the parade ends and Greenville Ave. has been cleaned of all trash. CW33 will televise the parade and will setup in the Old Town Shopping Center. Hibbert Enterprise vendors will be allowed on the parade route to sell merchandise. DART will close Milton Street to their bus transportation on Friday, March 15 at 11:59 pm and will reopen the bus stop after the parade has cleared.
CityVet located at 5315 Greenville Avenue will have a “Dog Friendly” area for pet owners to enjoy the parade. There will be no alcohol sales. Set up will begin at 5 p.m. March 15 and cleanup will be completed after the event on March 16.
AT&T to Concentra Urgent Care located at 5521 Greenville Avenue will activate the area for a second Brew Fest, tailgate area and food trucks (ice cream push carts will be on site as well). Set up will begin at 5 p.m. March 15 and cleanup will be completed after the event on March 16.
Metro PCS located at 5935 Greenville Avenue will activate a portion of the lot for store front branding and parade environment (no alcohol sales). Set up will begin at 5 p.m. March 15 and cleanup will be completed after the event on March 16.
COMERICA BANK located at 5302 Greenville Ave. will block (bike barricades) their parking lot and host a ‘private gathering’; food trucks will be on site. Set up will start at 5 p.m. March 15 and cleanup will be completed after the event on Saturday, March 16.
BREW FEST & MAVS AREA
Office Depot & CVS Parking Lots located at 5111 Greenville Avenue will host a Brew Fest, VIP Tailgate & Mavs event from 9a.m-3p.m. Alcoholic beverage sales will be available and to be consumed in the fenced in area only. Food Trucks & a DJ near CVS and in Brew Fest area are also approved for this lot. Ice cream push carts will be on site as well. Tents ranging in size of 10’x10’ and 20’x20’ will be placed on the Milton Street. Set up will begin at 5 p.m. March 15 and cleanup will be completed after the event on March 16.
This annual picnic style party is held in a fenced parking lot. There will be DJ music, food and beverages (alcoholic) will be sold. DJ must be out of the site line of Greenville Avenue. Six 10’x10’ and one 10’x20’ tents will be erected. Sponsor banners/flags and balloons will be attached to barricades during the event. Set-up will begin at 2 p.m. March 15 and tear down will be completed by 9 p.m.
This annual party will be held in the parking lot; DJ and live music will be played between noon and 6 p.m. Food and beverages (alcoholic) will be sold. A 12’x16’x18” stage and two tents (30’x40’ & 30’x60’) will be erected. Set up will begin at 12:30 p.m. March 15 and tear down will be completed by 5:30 p.m. March 18.
Twisted Root is hosting their annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration. Parking spots within the Twisted Root lot will be enclosed utilizing barricade fencing and bicycle fencing to allow for more space around the restaurant to sell food and alcohol. There will be tables and chairs within the footprint, no tents or stages erected and amplified sound at 9 a.m. Music will be played from speakers installed throughout the patio. Set up starts at 8 a.m. and teardown will conclude no later than 11:45 p.m. day of the event. The event will require no additional street closures as the street will already be closed due to the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The projected attendance is 1000.
Deep Ellum Community Association are hosting their annual Outdoor Arts/Crafts Market located in Deep Ellum. The event includes arts/crafts vendors, some recorded or live music will be played, the sale of crafts merchandise, food and non-alcoholic beverages. Set up starts at 10 a.m. with the erection of tents (35- 10×10), a PA system, no stage, street power access and amplified sound starting at 9:30 a.m. in one location. Teardown will be completed by 6 p.m. day of the event. A full Street Closure for N. Crowdus St. from Elm St. to Main St starting at 10:00 a.m. and will re-open by 7 p.m. Parking Meters will be hooded from 100-199 N Crowdus St. from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Estimated daily attendance 200.
