This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Four Seasons Market and located in the the Casa Linda Shopping Center parking lot. The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from 3 – 7 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday. Parking for vendors and market guests will be in approved parking areas. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods. Setup begins at 1 p.m. and teardown is complete by 8 p.m. The market will not require street closures, and traffic cones and signs are not to be placed on streets or public property.
This reoccurring event includes a weekly concert series through October at The Sound outdoor amphitheater and stage. These Thursday night concerts are hosted by Billingsley Company and involve a live performance by a local tribute band taking stage at 9 p.m. Outdoor amplified sound must be turned off by 11 p.m. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold by local restaurants. Registration/ticket is required and ticket holders may bring a picnic. Setup begins at 7 p.m. each Thursday with the installation of a portable stage (40”x16’x20’) and tents (two – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by midnight. A private contractor will provide onsite security guards in addition to the required two (2) off-duty DPD officers. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 31, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.

The recurring Friday market at The Sound Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. This annual open water swim event in Lake Ray Hubbard is hosted by Swim Across America. The swim starts and finishes at the Rockwall Harbor. The swim starts at 8 a.m. with participants swimming ½-mile, 1-mile, or 3-mile courses (3 loops) in honor of loved ones who have been affected by cancer. This permit covers the activities on the lake only, and will be supported by the DPD Marine Unit. The land-based activities of this event are all within Rockwall City limits; no food, beverage, tents, or street closures are required within the City of Dallas. Set-up will begin on Friday, September 13 at 6 a.m., and event staff will be on site until Noon Saturday.
This annual event is a 5K and 1 Mile walk-a-thon hosted by the American Heart Association. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through.This 5K walk starts at 9 a.m. at Hotel Street and proceeds south on Hotel Street, left on Memorial Drive, left on Griffin Street (northbound lanes), right on Young Street (eastbound lanes), left on Hardwood Street, left on Woodall Rodgers access road(eastbound lanes), left on Field Street, slight right on Griffin Street (northbound lanes), at Commerce Street, transition on intersection to southbound lanes of Griffin Street, right on Wood Street, left on Houston Street, right on Reunion Boulevard E, left on Hotel Street to finish near North Drive.

City of Dallas Water Utilizes is hosting their annual Trinity River Kite Festival. This free event includes live music, a DJ, amplified sound, a kid’s zone, food trucks, vendors, a petting zoo, outdoor activities and kite flying. Merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of a stage (24’x24’x18”), tents (sixty – 10’x10’, ten – 10’x20’), and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 8 p.m.
Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is hosting a new ADL Walk Against Hate event. This ticketed event includes entertainment, a DJ, guest speakers and a two-mile walk. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Amplified sound will start at 8 a.m. with a sound check at 7 a.m. The following streets will close from 6 a.m. – 1 p.m.: Olive Street from Victory Avenue to North Houston Street (full closure); North Houston Street from Victory Avenue West to Continental Avenue (full closure); Victory Avenue from Victory Avenue West to Continental Avenue (full closure); Continental Avenue from Victory Avenue to Lamar Street (full closure); Lamar Street from McKinney Avenue to North Houston Street (full closure).
