BMW Dallas Marathon 2019 @ City Hall Plaza

The final day of the three-day BMW Dallas BMW Dallas Marathon Event includes a Marathon (26.2 miles), Half-marathon, Ultra-marathon (50K) and a Marathon relay. These races take place in downtown Dallas and the surrounding areas. The start/finish line and post-race festivities will be on City Hall Plaza/Marilla Street. Food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup is detailed on the Friday night event permit. Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on Dec. 16. Street closure apparatus will be removed by midnight Dec. 16. City Hall Garage access via Akard Street will be open for city employee, and event VIP, volunteer and board member parking from 6 a.m. through 4 p.m. Dec. 15. City Hall Horseshoe parking will close from 5 p.m. Dec. 13 to 10 p.m. Dec. 15. Ten stages (8’x8) with live music will be erected along Sunday’s route. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. Please note, due to the distance and length of the races, streets towards the second half of the route may be closed for most of the day.
The runners will be released in waves beginning at 8:25 a.m. through 9:15 a.m.
The Marathon will start at Marilla Street and Akard Street, proceed west on Marilla Street, left on Young Street, right on Market Street, left on Main Street, straight onto Commerce Street, right on Riverfront Boulevard, right on Continental Avenue, straight onto Lamar Street, left onto Houston Street, right on Olive Street, left on Cedar Springs Road, straight onto Turtle Creek Boulevard. Enter Highland Park/Exit Dallas, straight onto Lakeside Boulevard, right on Armstrong Avenue, left on Highland Drive, right on Drexel Drive, right on Beverly Drive, left on Sewanee Avenue, right on Cornell Avenue, right on Airline Road, straight onto Central Expressway SB Access Road, Exit Highland Park / Enter Dallas, left on McCommas Boulevard, Relay runners go left on I-75 Access Road, right on Martel Avenue, right on McMillian Avenue to rejoin course , right on Greenville Avenue, left on Richmond Avenue, continue on Richmond Avenue thru Skillman Street, left on Alderson Street, right on Belmont Avenue, straight onto Lakewood Boulevard, right on Tokalon Drive, right on Winstead Drive, left on White Rock Road, left on W Lawther Drive, Continue N along W side of White Rock Lake on W Lawther Drive, right onto Mockingbird Lane, right on Scout Hill Drive, left on E Lawther Drive, continue south along E side of White Rock Lake on E Lawther Drive, straight onto White Rock Lake Trail, right into Bath House Parking Lot (Cut Straight Thru Along Building To Trail), left in the southwest central parking lot boulevard towards White Rock Lake Trail right on White Rock Lake Trail, straight on White Rock Lake Trail along Garland Road, Exit White Rock Lake Trail, right on Winsted Drive, ULTRA runners go right on White Rock Lake Trail, left on Sante Fe Trail, U-Turn 900 feet Southwest of Brookside Dr., follow the Sante Fe Trail back to White Rock Lake Trail, right on White Rock Lake Trail, right on Winsted Drive to re-join Marathon Course, left on Tokalon Drive, left on Lakewood Boulevard, straight onto Belmont Avenue, left on Alderson Street, right on Richmond Avenue, left on Skillman Street, right on Swiss Avenue, left on Fitzhugh Avenue, right on Gaston Avenue, left on Haskell Avenue, right on Elm Street, left on Exposition Avenue, right on Main Street, left on Good Latimer Expressway, right on Canton Street, straight onto Young Street, left on Ervay Street, right on Marilla Street to the finish line before Akard Street.

This recurring neighborhood market is organized by Four Seasons Markets, LLC. The market is hosted on Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. from August 11, 2019 through July 26, 2020 in the parking lot of Semones Family YMCA. This market includes up to thirty (30) vendors selling locally grown produce, foods and goods. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables and teardown will be complete by 4:30 p.m.

Casa Linda Farmers Market

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Four Seasons Market and located in the the Casa Linda Shopping Center parking lot. The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from  3 – 7 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday. Parking for vendors and market guests will be in approved parking areas. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods. Setup begins at 1 p.m. and teardown is complete by 8 p.m. The market will not require street closures, and traffic cones and signs are not to be placed on streets or public property.

Jingle All The 5K, 10K, 1K @ Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge

This new 1K, 5K and 10K benefits the Memorial Assistance Ministries in Houston. This registration required event will involve outdoor amplified sound beginning at 7:30 a.m. and food and beverage (alcoholic) will be provided. No street closures are required. All races will start and finish at the Felix H. Lozada, Sr. Gateway. The 1K starts at 8 a.m., proceeds east on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, U-turns back to the start/finish and disperses. The 5K & 10K starts at 8:30 a.m., proceeds east on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge, U-turns back to the west side, proceeds to the Skyline Trail turnaround east of the green 911 TSK425 sign located on the north side of trail and east of the west Trinity River levee back to the finish. Those participating in the 10K will follow the same route a second time to finish. Setup begins at 1 a.m. with the erection of tents (fifteen – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.

The Boho Market at The Hill #8 @ The Hill

The Boho Market at the Hill is hosting their monthly outdoor event in the parking lot of The Hill Shopping Center. This free event includes more than forty different local vendors, artisans, live music and amplified sound. Merchandise will be sold. Setup begins at 7 a.m. with the erection of tents (twenty – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 5:30 p.m.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market 18 @ Deep Ellum

Deep Ellum Community Association is hosting their monthly outdoor arts and crafts market. This free event includes live music, amplified sound and vendors. Merchandise, food, and beverage (nonalcoholic) and will be sold. Parking Meters will be hooded at 100-199 N. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Setup begins at 10 a.m. with the erection of tents (thirty-five – 10’x10’), a generator and a PA system. Teardown will be complete and street closure apparatus will be removed by 6:30 p.m.
