World Food Championships @ Reunion Lawn

This new multi-day food competition on Reunion Lawn is hosted by MMA Creative, Inc. This ticketed event will showcase 500 of the world’s best cooking teams competing in 10 different food categories, and will include live music, amplified sound and food, beverage (alcoholic), and merchandise will be sold. The entire scope of this event will be enclosed behind 6-foot fencing, and will pair two additional ticketed showcases within the same footprint, to include the Grand Tasting, Thursday, October 17 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. and the Bourb-n-que, Street Party Friday, October 18 from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The northbound lane closure of Sports Street will accommodate RVs that will serve as lodging for competitors for the duration of the event. Setup will begin Friday, October 11 at 8 a.m. with the erection of a stage (48”x16’x24’), tents (one hundred and five – 10’x10’, twenty-two – 20’x20’, seven – 10’x20’, two – 20’x30’, two – 10’x90’, two – 10’x80’, two – 40’x80’, one – 110’x120’, one – 60’x180’, two – 60’x40’, two – 20’x40’, two – 10’x30’ and two – 10’x50’), scissor lifts, fork lifts, barricades, bleachers, drones, a generator, liquid propane gas, water from water hydrant, port-o-lets, signs in the public.

The Sound – Boho Market Series
Oct 18 @ 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

This is a new weekly Artisan Market series organized by Boho Market Group and hosted by Billingsley Company. The recurring Friday market at The Sound Cypress Waters is free and open to the public and features amplified sound and up to 30 vendors selling local handcrafted and vintage home goods, art and apparel. There is no food/beverage sales or distribution. Setup starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of vendor pop-up tents (up to 30 – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 10:15 p.m. A private security contractor will provide onsite security guards. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected October 25, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed. 

Campana Evangelistica @ Iglesia de Cristo

Campana Evangelistica is a new event hosted by Iglesia Camino de Santidad. This free event includes a ceremony, a live performance and amplified sound. Outdoor amplified sound must cease by 10 p.m. Setup begins at 9 a.m. on October 17 with the erection of a stage (6’x8’x16”). Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on October 22.

The Petite Palace @ White Rock Lake - Bath House Cultural Center

This new event is a circus featuring acrobats, jugglers, clowns and a contortionist. No animals will participate in this event. Merchandise, food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup will begin October 13 at 9 a.m. with the erection of a tent (one – 150’x150’) and a stage (30”x16’x8’). Teardown will be complete by November 5 at 6:30 p.m. A special event permit is issued for a period not to exceed 10 consecutive days, and this series will require permit extensions through the projected November 3, 2019 series end date. Requirements will be reevaluated with each extension and will be adjusted as the market scope changes. Extensions are not guaranteed.

Delman Circus @ Delman Circus

Delman Circus is a classic under the Big Top circus with no animals. Performances include clowns, jugglers, aerialists, acrobats and contortionists for a full two hours of entertainment for the entire family.

Making Strides of North Texas @ Klyde Warren Park

This annual 5K hosted by the American Cancer Society will activate at a new location and run a new route at Klyde Warren Park. The event activation within the park is coordinated by the Woodall Rogers Park Foundation. This permit covers the related street closures and parking restrictions only. This free and open to the public walk will involve amplified sound outside of the park perimeter beginning at 7:30 a.m. with a 7:15 a.m. sound check. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes before the first participant and will reopen after the last participant passes through. The start and finish lines will be staged at the eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Service Road, just north of N. Harwood Street. The walk will kickstart at 8 a.m., proceeds north on eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Service Road, right on Routh Street, right on Ross Avenue, right on Jack Evans Street, left on Flora Street, left on N Harwood Street, right on San Jacinto Street, right on N St Paul Street and right on eastbound Woodall Rodgers Freeway Service Road to finish. Setup at Klyde Warren Park will begin Friday, October 18 at 2 p.m. with the erection of tents (one – 20’x20’ & twenty – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete, and all street closure apparatus will be removed by 3:00 p.m.

Good Local Market -White Rock Farmers Market @ Lake Pointe Church
Oct 19 @ 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

This neighborhood farmers market is organized by Good Local Markets in the Lake Pointe Church parking lot. The market includes up to 70 vendors selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup will begin at 6 a.m. with the erection of tents (up to 70 – 10’ x 15’) and teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

St. Michaels Farmers Market
Oct 19 @ 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

This Neighborhood Farmers Market is organized by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church. The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors with tents (10’x15′) and tables selling locally grown foods and goods on Saturdays. This event will not require street closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Setup of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.

Dallas Free to Breathe Walk @ Ronald Kirk Bridge
