Hope Floats (formerly End Thirst) @ Lake Ray Hubbard

A new event on Lake Ray Hubbard. The Last Well Founder & President, Dr. Todd Phillips, has resolved to live on a barge in Lake Ray Hubbard to draw attention to the Liberian water-crisis and ultimately fund the remaining $5M needed to provide clean water to all of Liberia. He will live on a 20’x22’ floating dock off Chandler’s Landing.  Setup starts at 8 a.m. on October 6 and the tear down date will be determined upon completion of the donation drive (goal is approx. 3 weeks).  A permit extension may be issued for each 10 consecutive days, not to exceed 60 days.   Estimated viewing attendance is 100.

This is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur on the property of the Paul Quinn College Campus (parking lot) at 3837 Simpson Stuart Road.

The Paul Quinn Farmers Market will consist of no more than 35 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10x15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Thursdays thru December 6.

This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in multiple parking lots within the campus. Setup begins at 1 p.m. and teardown at 7 p.m.

The market hours are from 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.

This annual event is a homecoming parade for W. T. White High School. The event is designed to highlight the community support for public schools in North Dallas. All elementary and middle schools in the W.T. White feeder pattern are invited to participate in the parade. Staging for the parade will begin at 3:30 p.m. on November 1, 2018. The parade will start at 12300 Crestline Avenue in the student parking lot. It will proceed north on Crestline, turn right east on Rickover, turn right south on Welch Road, turn right west on Willow, and turn right north on Crestline to finish into the student parking lot and disperse.

This homecoming parade starts at 100 Glasgow Dr. (Woodrow Wilson High School parking lot) at 5:00 p.m. The parade will proceed north on Abrams Road, turn left west on La Vista Drive, turn left south on Swiss Avenue, turn left on Skillman Street to u-turn back north on Swiss Ave., turn right east on La Vista Dr., turn right southeast on Paulus Avenue (crossing over Gaston Ave.), turn right south on Abrams Rd., turn left northeast on Worth Street, turn right southeast on Paulus Ave., turn left northeast on Victor Street, turn right southeast on Paulus Ave. to finish and disperse in the parking lot at Reiger Avenue & Paulus Ave. Food and beverages will be available for sale from 4 p.m. -6:30 p.m.

Trek for Tech 1 Mile Fun Run & 5K  @ Lakehill Preparatory School

Lakehill Preparatory School’s annual fundraising 5K and 1mile run.  Both runs start and end on school property and run an out-and-back course. The 1-mile fun run starts at 8 a.m.  proceeds south on Hillside Dr, east on Lakeshore Dr., U-turns just past Cambria blvd. and returns to the school entrance.  The 5K starts at 9 a.m. proceeds south on Hillside Dr., east on Lakeshore Dr., onto Tokalon, U-turns at W. Lawther and returns to the school.  Event set begins at 7 a.m. and includes amplified sound starting at 8 a.m., a DJ, announcer, food and beverage (non-sales), and tents (two 10’x10’).  Tear down will be completed by noon.  The projected attendance is 500.

White Rock Farmers Market @ Lake Pointe Church - Parking Lot

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur on the property of Lake Pointe Church (parking lot) at 9150 Garland Rd.

The White Rock Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Saturdays thru December 8.

This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Set up of the market will begin at 6 a.m.and teardown at 1p.m.

Market hours are from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. (exception on December 8th which is extended to 3 p.m.)

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market

This recurring Deep Ellum street market is held on the first and third Saturdays of each month and includes approximately 30 arts and crafts vendors, merchandise, food and non-alcoholic beverages sales, amplified sound with recorded or live music and several 10x10 tents. N. Crowdus will be closed between Elm Street and Main Street. Set up and street closures are allowed one hour prior to event start time and teardown must be complete and street re-opened thirty minutes after event end time.
