Bryan Adams Homecoming Parade
Sep 21 @ 9:00 am – 11:00 am

This annual homecoming parade starts and ends at Bryan Adams High School. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. At 9 a.m. the parade proceeds east on Millmar Drive, left on Ferguson Road, right on Gus Thomason Road, right on Shiloh Road, right on Millmar Drive back to Bryan Adams High School parking lot finish and disperse. Parade staging begins at 8 a.m. in the parking lot. 

UP Flea Market @ University Park Public Library
Sep 21 @ 10:00 am – 3:00 pm

This is a new neighborhood fundraising event for the University Park Public Library hosted by the Friends of the Library. The event includes a bounce house and up to 30 vendors selling arts and crafts, jewelry, clothing, garage sale items etc.  Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup will begin at 8 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents (up to thirty 10’ x 10’) and teardown will be complete by 5 p.m.

All Saints Catholic Church Fall Festival
Sep 21 @ 11:00 am – 10:00 pm

This annual event is a fundraiser carnival for the All Saints Catholic School. Entertainment includes assorted games, live bands and a petting zoo. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 9 a.m. on September 18 with a stage (24’x12’x24”) and tents (four – 10’x20, six – 10’x10’, one – 50’x80’, one 30’x40’ and one 40’x60’). Teardown will be complete by 5 p.m. on September 22.

Greek Food Festival of Dallas
Sep 21 @ 11:00 am – 10:00 pm

This annual three-day food festival sponsored by Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church will feature live music and cultural dancing, and food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup will begin at 12:30 p.m. on September 15 with the erection of a stage (15’x20’x20”) and twelve tents (one – 60’x330’, one – 60’x100’, one – 20’x80’, one – 20’x40’, one – 20’x30’, two – 20’x60’, one – 10’x100’, two – 10’x40’, one – 10’x30’ and one – 10’x20’). Teardown to be completed by 6 p.m. on September 27. Third party security will be provided for overnight security of the event site.

No street closures are required; however, Alpha Road and Hillcrest Road may be affected by attendee traffic. DPD officers (off-duty) will provide traffic control as needed. Parking is provided for free at Temple Shalom at 6930 Alpha Rd. Shuttles will be provided for free to event attendees who park in the garage located at 12720 Hillcrest Road (shuttles will travel on the LBJ service road, turn right onto Preston Road, turn right onto Alpha Road, turn right onto Hillcrest Road and stop on Hillcrest Road in front of the church to unload passengers. ITC will be used on Hillcrest Road to safely unload passengers. Valet parking will be available on church property for a small fee.

St. Bernard Parish Carnival

This annual two-day carnival is a fundraiser for the St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic Church. The carnival will include a DJ, live entertainment, family games and an auction. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup begins at 3:15 p.m. on September 20 with the erection of a stage (12’x18’x25”) and tents (nine – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 6 p.m. on September 22. 

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market 12 @ Deep Ellum
Sep 21 @ 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Deep Ellum Community Association is hosting their monthly outdoor arts and crafts market. This free event includes live music, amplified sound and vendors. Merchandise, food, and beverage (nonalcoholic) and will be sold. Parking Meters will be hooded at 100-199 N. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Setup begins at 11 a.m. with the erection of tents (thirty-five – 10’x10’), a generator and a PA system. Teardown will be complete and street closure apparatus will be removed by 7:30 p.m.

Setup in the park begins at 9 a.m. on September with the erection of tents (three – 10’x20’ and thirty – 10’x10’) and teardown will be complete by 11:45 p.m. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 11 p.m.

Church Festival @ Christ Eposcopal Church

The Christ Episcopal Church is hosting a new church festival. This event is free and open to the public and includes live music, amplified sound and food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. Setup for this event will start at 3 p.m. with the inclusion of port-o-lets. Teardown will be complete by 11 p.m. This event will not require street closures.
