Dallas Kosher Chili Cookoff

The Dallas Kosher Chili Cook-off is an annual chili cook-off where teams cook chili in a judged competition. Three feather signs, two banners (7 ft X 3 ft) and five-yard signs (24″ X 18″) will be installed in front of our building to promote the event. Two stages 16’x12’x15” and 24’x8’x24” will be erected along with the following tents twelve 20’x20’, one 10’x20’ and a 20’x60’. Set-up will begin at 9 a.m. March 26 and tear down will be completed by 6 p.m.       April  1.

Food Trucks on the Plaza @ City Hall Plaza

City of Dallas are hosting their first annual Food Trucks on the Plaza event located at City Hall Plaza. Food trucks will be parked on Marilla between City Hall Building and Henry Moore sculpture. The sale of food & beverage (Non-alcohol) will be provided. Set up starts at 10 a.m. and teardown concludes at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dallas Security will incorporate the normal city hall exterior patrols with the event. On Wednesdays, patrols would be less due to council meetings and staffing requirements. Estimated event attendance 100. Event Starts February 19- June 14, 2019, we are issuing 30-day permits.

Casa Linda Farmers Market @ EDENS

This is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by the Four Seasons Market LLC to occur on the property of Casa Linda (Edens) LLC at 9540 Garland Road, parking lot.

The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from noon – 4 p.m., setup begins at 10 a.m. and tear down at 5 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday of each month outlined below. Parking for vendors and market guests are to be in approved parking areas.

The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods. Should the applicant provide electrical power to its vendors, all electrical cords, cables to include hoses are to be covered by cable protectors.

The market will not require street or lane closures; no traffic cones or signs are to be placed on streets or public property.

The applicant is to ensure that a copy of the Neighborhood Farmers Market Permit is on hand at all time. The projected attendance is 250 throughout the day and is not to exceed 1,000

Celebration White Rock @ White Rock Lake

The 6th annual Celebration White Rock hosted by White Rock Lake Conservancy and the City of Dallas Park and Recreation Department. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be provided at the event. Set -up starts at 1 p.m. with the erection of a stage (8’x4’12” high), live music from 7 – 8:30 p.m. and amplified sound starting at 5:30 p.m. Teardown to be completed by 10 a.m. April 5. The 10k race begins at 6:10 p.m. starting on East Lawther on the north side of Winfrey Point. It proceeds east and north on East Lawther just north of the Mockingbird Bridge; turns around and proceeds back south on East Lawther; transitions over to a concrete trail just south of the eastbound Mockingbird entrance ramp; continues south on the trail paralleling East Lawther crossing Northcliff, Tiffany Way, and Poppy; exits off the trail at Sunset Bay; proceeds south and southwest on Sunset Inn Circle; and turns west on East Lawther back to the finish line. The 5k race is an out-and-back route starting at 6:30 p.m. on East Lawther Drive on the north side of Winfrey Point. It runs north on East Lawther Drive for 1.55 miles and U-turns on the south side of the Bath House back to the finish line. Estimated daily attendance is 1,000.

Deep Ellum Arts Festival @ Deep Ellum

This three-day art festival is the 25th Deep Ellum Arts Festival. Two hundred and twenty tents (two hundred and twenty 10’x10’ vendor and exhibitor tents, six 10’x20’, one 20’x40’ and one 20’x50’ frame tent and four stages (two SL 100 mobile stages 32’x24’x36”, two 16’x20’x18” stages) will be erected for the event.  Setup for the event will begin at 6 a.m. April 4; teardown will be completed by 4 a.m. April 8. The event will require closing Main Street starting at the east intersection of Malcolm X Blvd and ending at the west intersection of Exposition Ave (Malcolm X Blvd and Exposition Ave will never be closed). Walton, Trunk, and 2nd Streets will be closed between Elm Street and Commerce Street but will allow for local traffic into private garage or driveways and deliveries. Murray Street will be closed between Commerce and Main Street but will allow for local traffic into garage or driveways or deliveries. April 5, 10 a.m. – 11:30 p.m. April 7, Hall Street will be closed between Elm Street and Commerce Street. UBER/Lyft pick-up/drop-off will be at Hall Street and Commerce Street. A curb lane will be available to the Chase Towers for entrance/exit to N. Hall Street/Elm St. Bike barricades will be place on the sidewalk of Malcolm X Boulevard at Main Street to create queue lines.

Trash Dash Litter Bash @ City Hall Plaza

The Trash Bash Litter Dash is a new event hosted by the City of Dallas Fitness Center. No food, beverage, tents or stages required. Partial street closure from noon to 1 p.m.: Marilla Street to South St. Paul Street; South St. Paul Street from Marilla Street to Corsicana Street; Corsicana Street from South St. Paul to Park Avenue; Park Avenue from Corsicana Street to St. Louis Street; St. Louis Street from Park Avenue to South Harwood Street; South Harwood Street from St. Louis Street to Taylor Street; Taylor Street from South Harwood Street to South Pearl Expressway; South Pearl Expressway from Taylor Street to Marilia Street; Marilla Street from South Pearl Expressway back to City Hall Plaza (westbound lane). Setup starts at 10 a.m. which will include amplified sound at 11 a.m. along the route. Teardown to be completed by 2 p.m.
