Dallas Margarita Meltdown @ West End District
May 26 @ 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm

The annual Dallas Margarita Meltdown is a margarita and music festival hosted by Oak Cliff Furry Friends. This event will include outdoor amplified sound, and food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold, within a fenced perimeter. The following streets will close from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.: Market Street from Pacific Avenue to Munger Avenue, Corbin Street from Record Street to Lamar Street and Ross Street from Record Street to Lamar Street. Setup will begin at 7 a.m. with the erection of tents (three – 10’x20’ and eight – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 11:30 p.m.

Deep Ellum BrewBQ @ Deep Ellum
May 26 @ 5:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Deep Ellum Brewing Company is hosting their annual Brew-BQ festival. This ticketed event includes live music, amplified sound and outdoor activities. Food and beverage (alcoholic) will be sold. The following street will close from 12:30 – 11:30 p.m.: St. Louis Street from Malcom X Boulevard to Crowdus Street (two lanes). Setup begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of a stage (16’x8’x10”), tents (six – 20’x20’) and a portable generator. Teardown will be complete by 11:45 p.m. Street closure apparatus will be removed by midnight.

St. Cecilia Memorial Day Run @ St. Cecilia Catholic Parish
May 27 @ 8:00 am – 1:00 pm

The Memorial Day 5K and Fun Run is a new event hosted by St. Cecilia Catholic Community. This ticketed event includes a 5K starting at 8:30 a.m., live music, amplified sound, a DJ and booths. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. The following streets will close at 8:15 a.m. and reopen once the last participant has finished. The route starts at the southwest corner of the school building, left on Mary Cliff Road, left on Stevens Forest Drive makes a U-turn at Stevens Village Drive, left on Mary Cliff Road, left on Timbergrove Circle, left on Kings Highway makes a U-turn at Windomere Avenue, left on Mary Cliff Road back to the school parking lot. Setup begins at 4 a.m. Teardown will be complete by 2 p.m.

 

Camp Sweeney’s Play for the Day
May 27 @ 8:30 am – 12:00 pm

This annual 5K and 1K is a fundraiser for Camp Sweeney sponsored by Lake Highlands Public Improvement District. Streets within the Lake Highlands Town Center will close from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Route streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. The 5K at 9:30 a.m. starts and ends on the Watercrest Park hike/bike trail, proceeds north on the trail under Walnut Hill Lane, exits at Whistle Stop, left on Wildcat Way, left on Walnut Hill Lane (two westbound lanes), left on White Rock Trail (northbound lane), right on Church Road (eastbound lane), right on Skyline Park Trail, U-turns and reverses the route to reenter the trail at Whistle Stop and return to the finish. The 1K at 10:45 a.m. starts and ends on the Watercrest Park hike/bike trail, proceeds north on the trail and U-turns at Walnut Hill Lane to the finish. Setup begins at 4 p.m. on May 26  with the erection of tents (twenty – 10’x10’) and a stage (20’x12’x36”), and teardown will be complete at 2 p.m.

SCCO Memorial Day Parade
May 27 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

This annual Memorial Day parade starts at Spring Creek Elementary School and includes a picnic after the parade on school grounds. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. At 10 a.m. the parade proceeds north on Carriage Lane, left on Fallmeadow Lane, right on Chalkstone Drive, right on Spring Creek Road, right on Woodstone Lane, right on Roundrock Road, left on Carriage Lane to the school. Carriage Lane will close from Fairmeadow Lane to Roundrock Road from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. for staging. Setup on school grounds begins at 8 a.m. with the erection of a tent (20’x30’) and teardown will be complete by 1 p.m.

Dallas Symphony 2019 Parks Concert at Flag Pole Hill @ Flag Pole Hill
May 27 @ 8:15 pm – 9:30 pm

This annual open to the public event is sponsored by the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and includes a performance and firework display at Flagpole Hill – White Rock Lake. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. There will be intermittent traffic control to facilitate pedestrian crossings (not to exceed five minutes) on E. Northwest Highway between Goforth Road and Doran Circle from 6:30 – 10:30 p.m. and across E. Northwest Highway at E. Lawther Drive during the firework display. E. Northwest Highway from W. Lawther Road to Buckner Boulevard will close during the firework display; traffic will be detoured south on Buckner Boulevard and west on W. Lawther Drive during the fireworks display. E. Lawther Drive from E. Northwest Highway and Norbuck Park entrance will be closed from 6 p.m. until Midnight. Setup begins at 9 a.m. with the erection of a mobile stage (60’x40’), and teardown will be complete by 11:45 p.m.

Casa Linda Farmers Market @ Casa Linda Shopping Center

This is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by the Four Seasons Market LLC to occur on the property of Casa Linda (Edens) LLC at 9540 Garland Road, parking lot.

The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from noon  4 p.m., setup begins at 10 a.m. and tear down at 5 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday of each month through December 18, 2019. Parking for vendors and market guests are to be in approved parking areas.

The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods. Should the applicant provide electrical power to its vendors, all electrical cords, cables to include hoses are to be covered by cable protectors.

The market will not require street or lane closures; no traffic cones or signs are to be placed on streets or public property.

Kier’s Hope Foundation 5K Run and Fun Walk @ Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge

Kier’s Hope Foundation is hosting a new 5K Run & Fun Walk. This ticketed event includes a run/walk, activities, amplified sound and a guest speaker. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided. The run/walk will start at 8 a.m. on the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge; down the ramp; onto the Trinity Skyline Trail; back up the ramp; and finish at the Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge. Setup begins at 7 a.m. with the erection of tents (three – 10’x10’) and a PA system. Teardown will be complete by 12 p.m.

St. Michaels Farmers Market

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Saint Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church at 8011 Douglas Ave. to occur on the property of the church parking lot at 5999 Fredrick Square.

The Saint Michaels Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on the Saturdays through December 14, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot. Set up of the market will begin at 7 a.m. and tear down at 12 p.m.

 

White Rock Farmers Market @ White Rock Farmers Market

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur on the property of Lake Pointe Church (parking lot) at 9150 Garland Rd.

The White Rock Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Saturdays starting on March 9 – December 7, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot.

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market @ Deep Ellum
Jun 1 @ 1:00 pm – 7:00 pm

Deep Ellum Community Association is hosting their monthly outdoor arts and crafts market. This free event includes live music, amplified sound and vendors. Merchandise, food, and beverage (nonalcoholic) and will be sold. The following street will close from 11 a.m. – 7 p.m.: N. Crowdus Street from Elm Street to Main Street. Parking Meters will be hooded at 100-199 N. Crowdus Street from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Setup begins at 11 a.m. with the erection of tents (thirty-five – 10’x10’), a generator and a PA system. Teardown will be complete by 7 p.m. Street closure apparatus will be removed by 7 p.m.     

Revival @ Mercodo Garibaldi Bazaar
Jun 1 @ 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm

This new revival will feature gospel preaching in the parking lot of the Mercado Garibaldi Bazaar. Setup will begin at 9 a.m. with the erection of a stage (24’x12’x3”) and a tent (10’x10’). No food, beverage or street closures are required.

Lakewood Village Farmers Market @ Lakewood Village Shopping Center

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur within the parking lot of the Lakewood Village Shopping Center at 6463 E. Mockingbird Ln.

The Lakewood Village Farmers Market will consist of up to 50+ vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Sundays through October 27, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place within the parking lot of the shopping center. Set up of the market will begin at 7 a.m., tear down at 2 p.m. and property vacated by 5 p.m.
