Urban Ultra Dallas @ Ronald Kirk Pedestrian Bridge
Jan 25 @ 11:00 am – 7:00 pm

This is a reoccurring run hosted by Ultra Expeditions, LLC and includes a half marathon, full marathon, 5K, 10K and a 50K. This event will involve outdoor amplified sound and merchandise will be sold. Each race will start and finish at the Felix H. Lozada, Sr. Gateway and will remain entirely on the Skyline Trail. The full marathon and the 50K will start at 12 p.m., the half marathon will start at 2:30 p.m. and the 10K and 5K will begin at 5 p.m. Setup will begin at 7 a.m. with the erection of tents (three – 10’x10’). Teardown will be complete by 10 p.m.

Community Beer Company 7 Year Anniversary @ Community Beer Company

Community Beer Company is celebrating their 7th Anniversary. This is a ticketed event and will include local live music from Ole G & Chadwick Cook. Food, beverage (alcoholic) and merchandise will be sold. Setup will begin at 12:30 p.m. January 24 with the erection of a mobile stage (8’x5’x12”) and a tent (40’x60’). Teardown will be complete by 9 a.m. January 26.

Unity Prayer Walk @ Forest Park

This annual walk is hosted by the South Dallas Fair Park Faith Coalition. The route includes rolling closures; streets will close 15 minutes ahead of participants and reopen as the last participant passes through. Staging will begin at 12:30 p.m. on the sidewalk at 3300 MLK Jr. Boulevard. The walk begins at 1:15 p.m., proceeds west on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard for 1.2 miles and concludes at Forest Park, 2950 Gould St. for a short celebration.

Omnitracs Truckers Against Trafficking Event @ Pacific Plaza Park

This new event is hosted by Omnitracs, LLC to raise awareness about human trafficking. The event will take place at Pacific Plaza Park and includes a keynote speaker, DJ and live performance. A Red Hat Truck will be displayed at 2001 Elm Street (parking lot). Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold. Setup will begin at 9 a.m. and include a Freedom Riders exhibition trailer and food trucks.

Lawther, left on the trail before Northwest Highway, left on Flag Pole Hill Trail, left on White Rock Creek Trail, continue south on White Rock Lake Trail, U-turns near Fisher Road at trail marker WRT137 reversing the route back toward the dog park, continue on White Rock Lake Trail, pass the dog park, across the pedestrian bridge, left on E. Lawther Drive, right on the Buckner Bridge underpass to the finish line.The 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m., exits the parking lot, continue under Buckner Blvd., left on E. Lawther, continue south on E. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be provided and merchandise will be sold. The 5K race departs from Fair Park at 7:30 a.m.; left on Haskell Avenue; right on Main Street; right on Peak Street merging onto Stonewall Street then onto Haskell Street; right on Fitzhugh Avenue; right on Gaisford Street; left on Pennsylvania Avenue ending at Fair Park. This recurring Lakewood Village Farmers Market is organized by Good Local Markets, Inc. The market is hosted on Sundays from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. from February 9 through August 30 in the parking lot of Lakewood Village Shopping Center, 6434 E Mockingbird Lane, Dallas, TX 75214. The market includes a daily maximum of 30 vendors each selling locally grown food and locally crafted and produced goods. Setup begins at 7 a.m. with the erection of vendor tents and tables (up to 30 – 10’X15’ stalls) and teardown will be complete by 4 p.m.
