Food Trucks on the Plaza @ City Hall Plaza

City of Dallas are hosting their first annual Food Trucks on the Plaza event located at City Hall Plaza. Food trucks will be parked on Marilla between City Hall Building and Henry Moore sculpture. The sale of food & beverage (Non-alcohol) will be provided. Set up starts at 10 a.m. and teardown concludes at 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. Dallas Security will incorporate the normal city hall exterior patrols with the event. On Wednesdays, patrols would be less due to council meetings and staffing requirements. Estimated event attendance 100. Event Starts February 19- June 14, 2019, we are issuing 30-day permits.

Casa Linda Farmers Market @ EDENS

This is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by the Four Seasons Market LLC to occur on the property of Casa Linda (Edens) LLC at 9540 Garland Road, parking lot.

The Casa Linda Farmers Market hours are from noon – 4 p.m., setup begins at 10 a.m. and tear down at 5 p.m. The market will occur every Wednesday of each month outlined below. Parking for vendors and market guests are to be in approved parking areas.

The market will consist of no more than 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods. Should the applicant provide electrical power to its vendors, all electrical cords, cables to include hoses are to be covered by cable protectors.

The market will not require street or lane closures; no traffic cones or signs are to be placed on streets or public property.

The applicant is to ensure that a copy of the Neighborhood Farmers Market Permit is on hand at all time. The projected attendance is 250 throughout the day and is not to exceed 1,000

Spring Carnival
Mar 22 @ 8:00 am – 9:00 pm

St. Augustine Parish is hosting their annual Spring Carnival event. The carnival will have live music, a DJ, game booths, arts & crafts. Food and beverage (nonalcoholic) will be sold at the event. Propane tanks will be utilized in varies booths. Set-up starts Friday March 22 at 5 p.m. and teardown will be completed by 9 p.m. day of the event. No street closures. Estimated attendance is 3,500.

AIDS Walk South Dallas
Mar 23 @ 8:00 am – 10:00 am

This annual event, hosted by AIDS Walk South Dallas, Inc., is a 3.2-mile walk/run that will begin at 2900 Pennsylvania Avenue and proceed northeast, turn left on J B Jackson, Jr. Boulevard and travel northwest, turn left on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard and travel southwest, turn left on Holmes Street and travel southeast, turn left on Pennsylvania Avenue and travel northeast and return to 2900 Pennsylvania Avenue, where the route will end and disperse. There are no tents, stages, food or beverages required for this event. Set-up and rolling street closures will begin at 6:30 a.m. and teardown will occur immediately following the event.

White Rock Farmers Market @ White Rock Farmers Market

This event is a Neighborhood Farmers Market organized by Good Local Markets to occur on the property of Lake Pointe Church (parking lot) at 9150 Garland Rd.

The White Rock Farmers Market will consist of up to 70 vendors that will set up booths, tents (10×15) and tables to sell locally grown produced foods and goods on Saturdays starting on March 9 – December 7, 2019. This event will not require street or lane closures and all parking will take place in the church parking lot.

Between the Buns
Mar 23 @ 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm

This annual event hosted by the Dallas Observer is a slider sampling and festival. The following streets will be closed during the event, Taylor Street from Harwood Street to S. Cesar Chavez Boulevard, Farmers Market Way from S. Pearl Expressway to S. Cesar Chavez Blvd, S. Pearl Expressway from Marilla Street to Farmers Market Way from 8:30 a.m. March 23 to 5 p.m. March 24. Ten 10’x10’ and Ten 10’x20’ tents will be erected.
